Very little is taught about slavery in American schools, the truth of slave history in America should be taught any way it can be taught. When the word slavery is mentioned, Americans get defensive.
Why is it mandatory to teach Black, African American students about the suffering of White people in American history every opportunity they can, and the Jews suffering in The Holocaust. History loves to talk about their slaughters of the Native Americans. We should never leave our history to someone else to teach, we must teach our own history the way it happened. “If we don’t know where we came from, then we don’t know where we’re going”.
The more we know about one another, the easier it would be to live together in peace.    John Nashid
